TINASHE x MAC PALETTE

6 November 2016

First of all, sorry for being late to the party with this one - I've literally had it since February and never used it waiting to write this post and it's now no longer available. Sorry... But here it is. The amazing Tinashe MAC collaboration Eyes x9 Palette

I am a huge Tinashe fan, and if you don't know her, then you're missing out. You may well know her from her feature on 'All My Friends' by Snakehips, but she is also an exceptionally talented solo singer, song writer, dancer, and generally life and body goals. Check her out, especially her new mix tape that was released on Friday, 'Night Ride'. I'm also a huge fan of MAC's Eyes x 9 palettes (find them here). They combine 9 tiny versions of their standard shadows for instant eye combos. Perfect.

First of all, can we take a second for this packaging - it is GORGEOUS.

The shadows inside are also the perfect combination of shades. A mix of shimmers and mattes, with some gorgeous brights and neutrals, and that black with a slightly bigger glitter pigment. Spot on. The colours are a mix of MAC classics, with some newly created shades named after Tinashe's music, including 'Vulnerable' and 'All Hands on Deck'.

So, onto the shadows. All these are left to right across the rows of the palette, with the top picutre being the shadow in natural light, then flash.

TOP ROW - Gleam, Midnight Sun, Revelry

MIDDLE ROW : Vulnerable, Quarry, Amethyst

BOTTOM ROW: Fame, All Hands on Deck, Black Water

I am so in love with all these shades. I'm a bit sad that the black glitter doesn't swatch the same as it looks in the palette, but I think I can cope. There are so many amazing combinations, great for day and night. If you manage to track this down anywhere, then definitely do, or pick up the full sized shadows from MAC!
